Listeners call my music quirky, offbeat, and unique. They say it reminds them of Indie Rock artists like Radiohead, Muse, Wilco, and Pavement.
In addition to Indie Rock, I also make downtempo electronica and 8-bit chiptunes, and I write music for TV, film, and video games.
My mild-mannered normal-person name is Jeremy Edwards. I have been writing and recording music since 1997, when I helped found the Austin-based indie folk ensemble Dog Legs & Feet, best known for Americana versions of Shakespeare songs. I also led the Austin alt-rock trio The Goodkings, who totally would have made it big one day if we hadn't broken up. And I previously performed under the stage name Jerome Freely.
As Tallfellow, I released my first single, "Lucky Breaks," in December 2024. This song was inspired by the question "what would my teenage self think of my life now?" Would I be impressed, or disappointed, or something else? Am I living up to my expectations... and really, does it matter what that long-ago kid thinks?
Anyway, there’s a lot more where that came from - I am in the process of finishing up additional singles and a potential EP to release in 2025. Sign up for the mailing list to get updates on that!
I don’t currently have any touring plans, but I can often be found on stage at The What Have You.
And yes: I’m pretty tall. 6 feet 4 inches, or 192 cm for the metrically inclined.
